Carpenter Marty Transportation provided engineering design services for the construction of a 10’ asphalt multi-use path connecting two city parks, providing greater access and recreational opportunities for the community. This project enhanced the community’s network and provided a safe pathway for all users to connect to various destinations within the City of Pickerington. Sycamore Creek Park and Victory Park had minimal existing paths and this project provided a direct connection between the two parks, allowing safer access and additional non-vehicular opportunities including access to Ridgeview Junior High School. The project included additional asphalt parking areas within Sycamore Creek Park, retaining walls, drainage improvements, and storm sewer design. Carpenter Marty Transportation assisted the City with the development of grant applications made to the ODNR Recreational Trails Program. In total, this project provided five multi-use paths adding more than 4,437' of path to the City’s trail system.
