Founded in 2013 by Kevin Carpenter and Bill Marty, Carpenter Marty Transportation is a civil engineering firm specializing in roadway, bridge, traffic, planning, survey, and architecture services. Since its founding, CM has experienced significant growth while maintaining a clear focus on infrastructure design and client service. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, CM expanded in 2018 by opening new offices in Cincinnati, Ohio and Charleston, West Virginia. We expanded our services again in 2020 with the launch of Comma Designworks, a full-service architecture branch in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2026, CM transitioned to an employee-owned company, reinforcing its commitment to long-term stability and employee engagement. Infrastructure remains our core focus, supported by leadership that exemplifies our values.
