PLANNING
At Carpenter Marty Transportation, we help communities turn ideas into transportation solutions that work in the real world. Our planning services combine community vision, technical expertise, and practical implementation strategies to create plans that don’t just sit on a shelf, they lead to real improvements. Our planning team includes a Registered American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) professional, a planner with a Master’s Degree in City & Regional Planning, and the support of many transportation engineers who ensure every recommendation is technically sound and ready to move forward. This integrated approach allows us to bridge the gap between planning and engineering, delivering plans that are both visionary and achievable.
Carpenter Marty Transportation has successfully developed a wide range of transportation planning initiatives, including active transportation plans, Safe Routes to School and school travel plans, safety action plans, thoroughfare plans, corridor studies, area-wide mobility studies, and pedestrian and bicycle plans. Our experience spans local, regional, and statewide efforts, giving us the perspective needed to align community priorities with public need, agency goals, and funding opportunities.
Public and stakeholder engagement is at the heart of every plan we create. We believe the most successful projects begin with listening to the people who will use them. Through meaningful outreach and collaboration, we ensure community input directly shapes recommendations, building support for projects and increasing the likelihood of successful implementation.
What truly sets Carpenter Marty Transportation apart is our focus on implementation. We help agencies move from planning to action by identifying prioritized projects, supporting competitive grant applications, and preparing conceptual layouts and cost estimates. Because our engineers are involved throughout the planning process, our recommendations are realistic, defensible, and ready to advance into design. By combining thoughtful planning with in-house engineering expertise, we help agencies transform community vision into projects that can be funded, designed, built, and ultimately enjoyed by the public.
