Carpenter Marty Transportation performed the design and preparation of contract plans and related documents for a new bridge design and associated bank stabilization that will avoid any work in and/or disturbance to the waters of the United States. The existing Trout Run Bridge carried the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad (DGVR) over Trout Run was washed out during the historic 1985 flood. The existing bridge is 40’ long and will be abandoned in place. The bridge will be replaced to the east of the existing location and tie back into the existing termini of the DGVR to the north and south of Trout Run Bridge along the Greenbrier River.
