The beginning of this year officially marks 10 years since we began operating as Carpenter Marty Transportation (CM). You may have spotted our limited edition t-shirts at the most recent Ohio Transportation & Engineering Conference, noting that 10 years with Carpenter Marty has definitely been a strike!

Starting with only 14 employees, 2013 was CM’s first year of business offering survey, right-of-way, bridge, and roadway services. Before the end of 2013, Carpenter Marty added traffic services and expanded their offerings in the private development sector. 2018 also marked for a memorable year with the addition of two Carpenter Marty offices. Our Cincinnati, Ohio office is led by Brad Ackel and our Charleston, West Virginia office is led by Ali Sadeghian. Both offices opened their doors to help support CM’s growing operations and bring new opportunities for the company.

The addition of architectural services came in 2021 with Comma DesignWorks led by Eric McGinnis. Comma DesignWorks opened their doors and are thriving in Nashville, Tennessee. 2022 was a great year for CM. Not only did we secure new clients and new projects, but we also welcomed eight new full-time members to our team. In addition, we had the opportunity to provide internships to four individuals in our Ohio and West Virginia offices.

Now, stepping into 2023, Carpenter Marty has 48 employees across four offices in three states. Over the last 10 years, our staff has grown by 250% and our revenues have increased by 350%. The company has won multiple awards. We have even been included in PSMJ’s Circle of Excellence for the past 9 years.

Looking back on the past 10 years, we are thankful for all our clients’ support as well as all our employees’ hard work and dedication. As for the next 10 years, and the 10 years after that – we are ready for whatever gets thrown our way!
