Why did you start Carpenter Marty?
I enjoy a small, close knit family firm culture and wanted to preserve that for our team. My father always asked me “What are you doing to make the world better?” I translated that into providing a place our team would want to work at by creating this culture and treating the employees like family. I take pride in it.

Easy going, responsive and enjoys building relationships.

What are your passions/hobbies?
Golf and The Ohio State University sports. I also love to travel.

What professional organizations are you involved in?
ASCE, ACEC, PLSO, and since I’m a big believer in community involvement, I’m also on the Upper Arlington Board of Zoning.

What's a fun fact about yourself?
I toured with the Grateful Dead from Maine to California and saw them perform more than 30 times, while sober. Also, I've been to all 50 states.
