In my time with Carpenter Marty Transportation, I have learned so much more about the transportation industry as a whole. I have felt so included as a member of the team since the beginning of my internship and will be sad to leave and go back to school. All of my coworkers have been so generous in sharing their knowledge and welcoming me into the Carpenter Marty family.
The very first thing I worked on was a traffic study involving a roundabout design in northern Ohio. Since then, I have hopped in and out of numerous projects which has allowed me to learn so much about different aspects of the industry and what goes into each part of the design of a roadway. Before I started, my goal was simply to learn more about transportation and what engineers do on a day to day basis. I can wholeheartedly say that I have achieved that goal this summer.
Another thing that I truly appreciated about this firm is the fact that it is openly encouraged to suggest new ideas and to make your voice heard. Team collaboration is so important here and it was one of my favorite things about working for CM. As a whole, I will look back on this internship with joy and gratitude. I am so thankful for the opportunity that Carpenter Marty Transportation gave me, and I think this firm is one of the best places an engineer could work with.
