US 60 Newmans Branch Road Traffic Study

KYOVA Interstate Planning Commission has retained Carpenter Marty Transportation to develop the US-60/Newman’s Branch Road Traffic Study for the City of Milton, West Virginia. The purpose of this project is to study and assess the traffic impacts of a new Milton Elementary School on the north side of Newman’s Branch Road, north of I-64. This study provides recommendations and guidance for implementing strategies to correct existing deficiencies and perform necessary crash analyses to create a safer and more efficient transportation network for all users. Preliminary findings from the study were provided to the public in the form of an open house meeting on February 12, 2024.
